skincare routine: featuring botanicals

7:30 am

I love oil based cleansers. I used to steer clear of them because I assumed they were only for dry skin types. In actual fact they are for every skin type, it's just finding the perfect one. I have a few that I like but botanicals has one I love! Hot cloth cleansing is my favourite way to cleanse. It's become very popular over the last couple of years, I first discovered it many years ago with liz earle. Botanical brands* introduced me to the rose & camellia range by Botanicals this particular range is aimed at mature skin, though I haven't aged much it's worked really well for my skin because of the weather change. My skin becomes very dry and tired looking I loose that glow in autumn. Anyway they sent me a few products to try out, here is what I thought...

I start by gently exfoliating my skin with the facial polish this contains crushed rosehip kernels which gently unclog my pores, it's really helped brighten my skin and has defiantly helped restore moisture levels! I use this most days, on my T-zone, and once a week everywhere else. I then remove it with an organic face cloth and warm water. I love everything about this product, the scent the texture and the outcome of it's use. I use this only in the evening's to unclog all the toxins and dirt it's soaked up throughout the day. |£20

I then use the cleansing melt which I use morning and night. It removes daily dirt and leaves my skin feeling super soft and fresh. It's also great at removing make very gently. Botanicals deep cleansing face melts are designed to penetrate the lower layers of the skin meaning it removes impurities and restores balance. My skin hasn't looked so good in a long time so I highly recommend this product. What I also love is you really do only need to use very small amounts to achieve such fantastic results. |£20

Finally I am using morning & nightly (If I remember) the anti ageing serum I tend to focus on the forehead and eye area with this one, oh and my neck, the parts of my face I feel look a little rough and aged! It absorbs lovely into the skin and is non greasy. It works well underneath makeup. One-two drops is plenty for my face and neck. It contains pro-active botanical seed oils which works in harmony with the body to regenerate new skin cells. |£28

Overall I love this range and I am looking forward to trying more products from this brand. I want to try the hydrating mist, clay mask and nourishing face balm. Also I really like the sound of the bath soak. The products come beautifully packaged, the packaging is very nice too. Will you be trying out any of these products?
