Bathtime: morning & evening (for mama & baby)

6:42 am

If you didn't know already I am a huge fan of baths. I love a shower. But adore bathing in super warm water and chilling in there for well over an hour at times... Many things make bath time better. Sharing one with my 6 month old babe can be fun but I much prefer having some alone time when bathing. Essential oils play a huge part in my baths. But lately I have been using a few different things so thought I'd share with you guys some of my favourites!
Morning baths
If I bath in the morning it's usually a quick dip. Sometimes if I am tired or I have a bad back I enjoy a morning bath to ease pain and wake me up a little. I use lemon or tangerine essential oils. But lately I have been loving MOAs fortifying green bath potion, the strong scent of peppermint opens up my lungs and lets me breath deeply. I tend not to use candles in a morning bath. I love MOAs bath oil for backache days it almost feels as though I have had a massage in the bath and really eases all my aches and pains so I feel brand new and ready for the day ahead. Its in such a beautiful glass bottle and the illustrations on the packaging are hand drawn. It looks gorgeous in the bathroom. I use 2-3 cap fulls in the morning depending on how deep the bath is. I always feel amazing after using this great product. I think it's a really fabulous gift idea and I will re-use the bottle for my own little mixture of bath oil creations as it's too cute to throw away.
Evening baths
My favourite bath of all. They make me nice and sleepy. I love to use organic epsom salt or magnesium flakes to ease stress and anxiety both are also really great for the skin. Epsom is great at eliminating toxins from the body, the bodies biggest organ is our skin which means it has amazing ability to absorb and deliver nutrition to the body. I then add 8-10 drops of lavender essential oil I absolutely love the scent. Lavender is very calming and can help with sleep problems such as insomnia. Its perfect for winter as its great for coughs and colds. I often put it into the diffuser. I also like using Roman chamomile I have also been using this for my baby boy who is cutting some back teeth poor thing! I think both lavender and chamomile help to calm and relax him before bedtime. If my skin is feeling dry I add some purepotion's chamomile oil to the bath its super moisturising for my skin I always add this to Roman's baths as his skin is much more delicate and the water is far to drying for his precious skin without it ill have a full review of this product coming soon it's amazing. Highly recommend it to mama's a little really goes a long way! If I have had a long day I also like to add a cap of MOA fortifying green bath potion just to help with those muscle aches. I then light some candles and relax.

How do you enjoy your baths? Do you have any natural/organic candle recommendations?
